2008 Encomium
Encomium (Latin) means "enthusiasm and warmth in praising a person or thing." I have dedicated my first extremely limited production Encomium to my close friend, the late Ed Monahan. I chose one barrel of my Sonoma 'Montecillo' Cabernet and one barrel of my Napa Beckstoffer Georges III Cabernet to produce a total of 50 cases. This huge blend of Cabernet from both valleys is a perfect tribute to a big man with a big smile that loved big wines.
Cheers!
Eric Keating
